From April 4 through
April 15, thousands of people
stopped by the “Taxi 07” Exhibit and
visited the Standard Taxi – taxi
operators, taxi drivers, medallion
owners, countless families, and
people of all ages and sizes. The
response was overwhelmingly
positive. Everybody seemed to fit
just right inside the Standard Taxi.
Our biggest passenger was 6’ 9” and
420 pounds – he stepped in and sat
down with ease! In addition,
we had great interest from people
with disabilities who were excited
about the easy access into the
Standard Taxi that results from our
“universal design”.
Thank you to all of you who came
out to see us, including many people
who came from New Jersey,
Connecticut, Boston, Philadelphia,
and even Quebec! We listened to your
comments and suggestions and have
taken them back to our engineers in
Michigan for review. We are always
striving to make the Standard Taxi
even better. In fact, we spent quite
a bit of time at the Kennedy,
Newark, and LaGuardia airport taxi
pools to get input from NYC area taxi
drivers.
We handed out more than 2,700
brochures to the taxi drivers/owners
at the airports!
On Monday, April 16, New York City
Council Member John C. Liu, who is
Chairperson of the Transportation
Committee for the City Council,
personally invited the Standard Taxi
to test out the streets of New York.
We went to the Flushing Taxi Stand
in the heart of Queens and the
Standard Taxi fit right in. In fact,
since the Standard Taxi is 14 inches
shorter than New York City’s regular
taxicabs, it takes up less space on
the streets and maneuvered easily in
traffic.

York pictures.
We had a great
time with Council Member Liu and he
later
issued a press release to document
his support.
Please take your time and check out
the links below. We had tremendous
press coverage from major broadcast
news channels, newspapers,
magazines, and radio. Of course, the
same thing can happen in your city
when the Standard Taxi enters your fleet.

We are happy to report
that interest in the Standard Taxi
has reached a new level. Last week,
in addition to the New York Auto
Show, we participated in the Taxicab
Paratransit Association of
California’s annual convention
(known as “TPAC”). Attendance at the
Palm Springs resort was high
(special thanks to Bill Rouse). Next
week, we’ll be in Baltimore for the
TLPA Spring Conference (see below)
and the following week we’ll be in
Philadelphia with the Standard Taxi
prototype. We have had strong
interest from Vancouver to South
Florida.
Our momentum comes directly from our
customers and the people who benefit
from the Standard Taxi’s unique
features – operators, owners,
drivers, regulators, and the riding
public. In addition, we have had
great interest from transit
authorities from across the country
who recognize the value in a
specifically designed “fleet”
vehicle that is easy to maintain and
keep on the roads. Increased fleet
utilization is obviously important
for any fleet and the Standard Taxi
can be used in many different
industries and applications.
In response to your requests, we are
now taking reservations for Year-1
production Standard Taxis. Several
operators have signed our simple
“reservation form” and sent us
deposit checks. Your deposit will be
safely kept in an interest-bearing
escrow account and it is fully
refundable at your option.
Please click here or on the image
above to download your Reservation
Form. We look forward to working
with you and your company to make
the Standard Taxi a success!
If you have any questions, please
feel free to call Marc Klein at

send him an e-mail at

In addition,
we recently released a new Standard
Taxi DVD which contains a ton of
information (pictures, video,
brochures, and a Reservation Form).
